Not sure I get this one...
Soooo... Huggies has come out with "Jean" diapers. Maybe I missed the memo... but who thought this was a good idea? Can someone please explain to me why Huggies thought our kids need "jean" diapers? I mean, seriously - are people buying these? Have I just not caught on to this latest craze? I just think it's crazy... and I don't get it. So, I went to their website to get a little more insight, and this is what I have learned... Seriously? PUHLEAZE.
Jeans have always been a Mommy fashion must-have, but now it's time for their little ones to steal the style. HUGGIES® gets fashion forward with new denim diaper design to help your baby stay trendy while keeping dry.
Very fashionable - for a limited time!
Denim has always been a summer style staple, and the HUGGIES® Jeans Diapers are no exception: this is a short-term offering to help little ones steal Mom's summer style. However, HUGGIES® Little Movers are on shelves before, during and after the Jeans products are available.

Big boys need big boy chairs!
So a few weeks ago, Vahe and I decided that Brian needed his own chair. I have seen the "anywhere chairs" from PBK, but despite my constant draw to Pottery Barn Kids, I decided to "shop around". And, I really did shop around. But, the force was too strong, and this chair was TOO CUTE. So, we settled on this one. It was Vahe's decision to put Brian's name on it (I wasn't going to do so, so that we could use it for other kids!)... but so glad we put it on there. It's too cute. And, Brian LOVES his chair. Absolutely loves it. And best of all, he knows that it's his. So happy that we got it for him! And I highly recommend it for your kiddos, too! (Oh, and I know that big boys don't need paci's.... we'll work on that soon enough)Monday, June 14, 2010
Mommy of a toddler?! Can that be right?!
It happened in the blink of an eye... my little baby turned into a big boy. A toddler, if you will. What?! I have a toddler?! How is that possible??? I swear it was just yesterday that I was swaddling him, rocking him to sleep, warming bottles, donning spit up as my new perfume, and urging him to try and crawl. And then poof! Now I have this food-slinging, hand-clapping, book-reading, picky-eating, copy-catting, ever-running, button-pushing, kiss-blowing, happy-as-can-be toddler. I never took a single second for granted when Brian was a baby, but it truly amazes me just how quickly time goes by. I can never go back and relive those precious moments when he relied on me for every single need throughout his day. But, I look at my Mr. Independent now and he makes me so proud. Never did I think my heart would swell with such pride when I would ask him what a sheep says and he says "Baa" or when I ask him for a kiss and he comes running up to me mouth wide open and plants a slobbery wet kiss on me. I love this age. I LOVE having a toddler. Don't get me wrong - having a toddler can be hard... really hard. And I have my days where I break down in tears wondering how I'm going to get through the day. But, just when I think being a stay-at-home-mom of a toddler is getting really tough, he never fails to find some way to melt my heart. I love our little man so much, and am proud of the toddler he is and continues to become. I know one day we'll be blessed with another baby, and it makes me so happy to know that he or she will have the best big brother around!!

Under construction...
Ok, so I know I haven't blogged about anything since Easter! I've just been trying to figure out how to change up my blog to make it more about the three of us as a family, rather than solely Brian... because once #2 comes along, Babbles About Brian won't make much sense. And, NO, I am not expecting #2... just thought I would work on changing it up now! So, my blog is under construction... keep checking back for updates! Hopefully it will be ready to go soon!
