As most of you already know, we are expecting baby #2 on May 20, 2011. We are SO excited. What I'm not excited about is how I've felt! This pregnancy has already been so different. The first major difference... BRIAN. LOL!! Brian doesn't understand that I'm extremely nauseous or so tired that I just want to stay in bed. He just wants his normal, energetic Mommy that he's used to having. So, it's been much tougher this time around to pamper and take care of myself. I go to bed around 9 or 9:30 every night, and am waking up at least 3 times a night to pee. Lovely. I've been MUCH more nauseous this time, too. I'm not throwing up really, I've just been nauseous morning, noon and night. This is the first week (11 1/2 weeks) that I'm feeling somewhat normal. My nausea began before I found out I was pregnant... so I've been feeling crappy for a while! BUT. On the bright side of things, I am pregnant again. I am once again carrying a baby, a life, inside of me and I couldn't be happier. I'm even starting to get a little belly, which is making this much more real for me! I was able to get an ultrasound at 6 1/2 weeks, so here's a look at the little bean!
Brian is doing awesome. He is such a handsome little boy, I can't believe he is already 19 months old. His personality is amazing and he makes us laugh every day (he makes me want to scream and cry on some days, too! LOL) But he is so much fun and I just love him so much. I know he is going to be such a wonderful big brother! Just a couple of highlights:
We went to a pumpkin patch with Grammy & Grandpa and Brian had so much fun! He loved playing among all of the pumpkins!
Brian got his first hair cut at Great Clips... talk about a nightmare! LOL That was NOT a fun experience!!
Brian's really starting to get into coloring... we like to color a lot now :)
Brian had his first "fluffernutter" or "peanut butter and fluff" sandwich. This is one of my all-time favorite sandwiches, so it was fun to see him experience it! What a MESS that was to clean, though!
And, finally, Halloween. Brian didn't like his monkey suit. AT ALL. It lasted for maybe 5 minutes, and during that 5 minutes all he did was cry and beg me to take it off. And, trick or treating didn't happen either! He stayed at home with us in our driveway and helped us pass out candy. That's where he felt the most comfortable, and he was definitely happy. Maybe next year! But, come on... he was one cute monkey!!!
There are a bunch of other things that he's been doing and I have so many other pictures to post, but truth be told, I'm tired. Getting under the covers on the couch sounds pretty good to me. Matter of fact, it's almost my bed time! I'll have to save more pictures for another post. OH! One thing Brian is doing... when I ask him where the baby is, he points to my belly :) It's so cute!

Congrats! Something must be in the water lately because my due date is two days behind yours and Shannon McWilliams (Irwin) is due on the 20th as well! We are both sick too, and she was with her first which is a girl. Sooo, maybe we are going to birth a new chapter of KDs this spring!
ReplyDeleteBrian is adorable! So glad you posted new pics. Good luck and I hope we all feel better soon!
Ugh, I hate to hear that you have the all day nausea and fatigue. That's what I had with Josh. It's miserable!! I literally didn't get out of bed for 6 weeks (which I know I won't have the luxury of doing the next time around). It started to go away at 12 weeks and was gone by 14, so hopefully it'll end soon.
